Precision Seafood Harvesting (PSH) commenced in April 2012 as a Primary Growth Partnership (PGP) programme between the Ministry for Primary Industries and three of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading seafood companies: Sealord Group Limited, Sanford Limited and Moana New Zealand.
The aim of the PGP programme was to research and develop a new fish harvesting technology that was driven by the desire to deliver better quality seafood and safeguard the future of our oceans and fish stocks.
PSH has been a successful collaboration between government, industry and researchers and reflects the strong commitment to improved performance in fish harvesting.
